Une \u00e9criture soign\u00e9e consigne \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re page la d\u00e9claration suivante: \u00ab La jeunesse sportive qui, tous les ans, vient passer ses vacances \u00e0 la R\u00e9migeasse et \u00e0 la Perroche d\u00e9sirait depuis longtemps, la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un tennis. Les 16 membres fondateurs \u00e9taient Pierre Baudichon, Pierre Couprie, Juliette Courtois, Pierre Debouchaud, Yvonne et Jacques Delaval, Henri Izaac, Jean Laplaud, Jean Rudelle, Jean Siben, Jeanine et George Steel, Th\u00e9odore Stahl, Albert Tassin, Marc et Pierre Wilmet. Le premier Pr\u00e9sident fut Marc Wilmet, suivi de Ren\u00e9 Stahl, Pierre Rouillard, Maurice Leguiffant, Alain Poix, Dominique Le Ray puis plus recemment Marie-Christine Dazet et actuellement Antoine Kastler. Les statuts furent d\u00e9pos\u00e9s \u00e0 la sous-pr\u00e9fecture de Rochefort le 5 octobre 1935. Quelques jours plus tard, le terrain \u00e9tait achet\u00e9 aux \u00e9poux Bordier de D\u00e9lidon et, \u00e0 la fin du mois, d\u00e9broussaill\u00e9 et nivel\u00e9, pr\u00eat \u00e0 recevoir l\u2019empierrement, le b\u00e9tonnage et l\u2019entourage. Mais la pluie ne cessa de tomber pendant l\u2019hiver de 1935 et le printemps 1936. Le tennis fut donc pr\u00eat \u00e0 recevoir les joueurs seulement \u00e0 la fin de la saison 1936.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Assembl\u00e9e G\u00e9n\u00e9rale de cette ann\u00e9e d\u00e9cida du principe d\u2019ind\u00e9pendance totale de l\u2019ASO, y compris financi\u00e8rement. Les premi\u00e8res factures furent donc r\u00e9gl\u00e9es par des cotisations suppl\u00e9mentaires. En tournant les pages du cahier on peut lire qu\u2019 \u00ab en 1938 l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e G\u00e9n\u00e9rale n\u2019a pu avoir lieu en raison des bruits de guerre qui circulaient et du d\u00e9cret de mobilisation partielle qui avait oblig\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident Marc Wilmet \u00e0 regagner son centre de mobilisation (accord de Munich septembre 1938). Il en est de m\u00eame en 1939 en raison de la mobilisation g\u00e9n\u00e9rale qui a oblig\u00e9 plusieurs membres de l\u2019ASO \u00e0 rejoindre leur r\u00e9giment. \u00bb
\nCe n\u2019est que le 11 septembre 1946 apr\u00e8s la guerre que se tient une nouvelle Assembl\u00e9e G\u00e9n\u00e9rale. Le Pr\u00e9sident fait savoir \u00ab qu\u2019il a achet\u00e9 un terrain contigu au tennis (toujours c\u00f4t\u00e9 marais) dans le but de cr\u00e9er plus tard un terrain de jeux pour permettre aux enfants des soci\u00e9taires de se distraire pendant les vacances \u00bb. Sont admis 8 nouveaux membres.<\/p>\n
